Erev Shabbat (Friday Evening) Services
Temple Israel offers a variety of Erev Shabbat celebrations and we hope that you will experience all of them.  Erev Shabbat Services begin at 7:30pm.
Regular Shabbat Services feature a sermon delivered by Rabbi Gwasdoff and a Torah service.
Shabbat with Kolotadds the voice of our Adult Choir Kolot, directed by Cantorial Soloist Lindy Passer, to our regular worship experience.
Shabbat & Cinema is an abbreviated Shabbat service followed by a film featuring Jewish content.
Family Shabbat is a short service geared towards the younger members of our congregation.  Rather than a sermon and Torah service, Rabbi Gwasdoff offers an entertaining story that teaches a meaningful lesson. Religious School students participate in the service as members of our Junior and Teen Choirs, and through class presentations.
Shabbat at O’Connor Woods is a Regular Shabbat service held in the Chapel at O’Connor Woods Retirement Living.
Visual T’filah brings the beauty of our world into the sanctuary.  The words of our prayers are superimposed on carefully selected pictures meant to augment our spiritual connection to each other and to the natural world.
Shabarbeque begins with a short service and is followed by a communal BBQ.  Participants are asked to bring their own main dish to BBQ and a side dish to share.
Special Shabbat Services are offered throughout the year to enrich our holiday celebrations.  These experiences include services for Sukkot, Simchat Torah, Chanukah, and more.
Shabbat Morning/Afternoon Services (Saturday)

Families are given the opportunity to select either a Shabbat morning or Shabbat afternoon service for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration.  Bar and Bat Mitzvah services are open to the community.  Please check the Calendar for dates & times.
