Kolot Folk Choir

Kolot, which means voices, or sounds (in Hebrew), is an adult choir composed of people of all ages and professions. The choir sings a variety of Hebrew and English music and liturgy.
There are no requirements or auditions.
Anyone who loves to sing (and isn’t tone deaf! ) is encouraged to join us! One does NOT need to commit to every rehearsal or service in order to be a part. You do NOT need to read music.
The choir began in 1994 as a folk-style choir and has evolved to include a variety of musical styles from folk, contemporary and classical pieces. We sing in unison as well as two-part and three part harmonies. We are often accompanied by guitar, piano, flute and bass.
Kolot sings at Shabbat services approximately once a month during the season, High Holy Day services, Shabbat Shira, Purim and various concerts throughout the year.
We have 2 social gatherings during the year.
Kolot is a wonderful group that has become an important part of our Temple community. New participants are ALWAYS welcome and in fact we have new people join us all year round.
